The Shelby Township, Michigan-born then added a backhand goal off a rebound at 13:01 and completed the hat trick just 36 seconds later with a deke around Lankinen.

The Jets kept the pressure on in the second period, with Pionk scoring just 39 seconds in after a Vancouver turnover. Niederreiter extended the lead to 5-0 later in the frame. Scheifele added his 26th goal of the season on a power play early in the third period.

The Canucks’ lone goal came in the third period when Nils Höglander capitalized on a defensive miscue to beat Hellebuyck.
Winnipeg is now 3-1-2 during its eight-game homestand, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.
